The air cooler is a device that uses ambient air as the cooling medium and traverses the finned tube to cool or condense the high-temperature process fluid in the tube, referred to as "air cooler".
In the heat exchange equipment of refineries and petrochemical plants, air coolers have become indispensable equipment. In the chemical industry, electric power, metallurgy and other industries, air coolers also have a wide range of applications.
Air coolers are used in motor ventilation cooling systems, air conditioning systems, air compressor cooling systems, and can also be used as parts of large fan coil units.


Product structure
The air cooler is mainly composed of three parts: tube bundle, fan and frame. The bundle comprises a heat transfer tube, a tube box, a side beam and a cross beam, etc. It can be arranged in two basic forms: horizontal and vertical. Among them, the horizontal arrangement has large heat transfer area, uniform air distribution and good heat transfer effect. In order to offset the effect of low heat transfer coefficient on the air side, the tube with fin on the outer wall of the light tube is usually used. As a heat transfer tube, the finned tube can expand the heat transfer area. The finned tubes are arranged in layers and the two ends are connected to the tube box by welding or expansion. The rows are usually 3 to 8 rows. Tube bundle series up to 12 meters in size. The outer diameter of the optical tube is usually 25 mm and 38 mm, the fin height is generally 12 to 15 mm, and the tube bundle width is 100 to 3000 mm. Finned tube is the core element of the air cooler, and its form and material directly affect the performance of the equipment. The pipe can be made of carbon steel, copper, aluminum and stainless steel; Fin materials are determined according to the use of the environment and manufacturing process, mostly with industrial pure aluminum, in the case of high corrosion protection requirements or in the case of special manufacturing process conditions are also used copper or stainless steel. The fins can be arranged horizontally or vertically. The basic forms of finned tubes are: wound type, insert type, rolled type, sleeve type, welded type, elliptical tube type, turbulent type (including spoke type, slotted and corrugated shape, etc.). The structure of the pipe box mainly includes flange type, pipe plug type and collection pipe type. Generally, the former is used for middle and low pressure, and the latter two are used for high pressure. In order to adapt to the thermal expansion of the tube bundle, one end of the tube box is not fixed, allowing displacement along the long direction of the tube. Ventilation fans are usually axial flow fans.
